OpsMgr cross-platform extender

At MMS this week we announced the pending release (currently beta) of the cross platform extender.  This addition will allow OpsMgr to NATIVELY provide monitoring support for heterogenous environments (unix, linux).  There are many details to digest but we will have a native agent running on Unix/Linux and be able to view the monitoring data in the Ops console just as you can with Windows systems today - our reporting structure will include Unix/Linux systems and the discovery feature has been adjusted to automatically push the agent to Unix/Linux systems.  Very exciting times as Windows only monitoring becomes history and we take on a heterogenous world!
