Case studies for domain-specific modelling

Grady Booch says he was misquoted by Juha-Pekka Tolvanen , and spun by Harry and me , about throwing UML models away. He says you should keep some of them.  He doesn't say which ones, though.

Grady asks for some references for domain-specific modelling in production, where "I never have to touch much less look at source code".  Well, this is not such a surprising property - GUI tools such as the Windows Forms Designer have had it for years - but I think that Grady wants more comprehensive examples. In support of Juha-Pekka, there is a fine list of references at https://www.dsmforum.org/cases.html. I dare say that there are projects on that list that deserve representation in the Handbook of Software Architecture, given the claims of consistently improving productivity by 5-10 times.
