Thinking Digital 10 recap

ispa1

I was going to do a long post telling you how brilliant I thought Thinking Digital was this week in Gateshead here in the UK (it’s our version of TED really) but I’m a known fanboy of the conference and Herb Kim so I’ll leave it to Alison Gow of the Liverpool Echo and my pal Marc Holmes from Microsoft who paid his first visit to the conference this year. It will not be his last I suspect…

What I have decided is which of the talks was my favourite – it was Christian Payne (aka Documentally) who’s mix of storytelling, humour and genuine “nice blokeness” made him my pick of the event. That’s a tough call as Louis von Ahn, Rory Sutherland, Julian Treasure, Jer Thorp and FUSE Labs’ Ralf Herbrich were all great…not to mention top tunes by GiveWay and Let’s Buy Happiness.

I decided to use IsParade (my fave new Twitter) app to visually show the chatter on the #tdc10 handle this week…that was also a highlight of the conference.

Congrats to Herb and all the team at Codeworks for another brilliant conference.
