Microsoft Fix it

Fix itJim`ll Fix It Soap

Phew, Microsoft hasn’t employed Jimmy Saville but has started to employ what in hindsight it a pretty obvious approach to fixing stuff – automated fixed to solutions you may find in Knowledge Base articles. What does that mean in plain English?

Let’s say you want to Disable Notification Balloon Tips in Windows. Well you could go to the Microsoft support article (known as KB article) numbered 307729 and step through the resolution yourself, OR click the new Fit It button to have it done for you.

There are only a few Fix It’s in the Knowledge Base at the moment but the number if going up quickly and being tracked on the Fix it for me blog.

Nice work. Really nice.
