Crowdsourcing Vista

uxtask

I’ve been watching Long’s efforts with UX Taskforce all week and even commented on one post that mentioned my monitor setup at home. I noticed Charles Arthur covered in The Guardian last week with “The guy who's trying to fix Vista from the outside in".

I have to take my hat off to Long as I think he’s showing us one way way we can engage with folks out there who like Vista to collate their knowledge and wisdom in an IdeaStorm like way. I honestly don’t know if the product teams are watching or fixing as Long suggests they are but, I hope so. I love the sentiment with which this site was built and the honest endeavour that is going in to it. One thing I’ve learnt over the years is it’s very easy to criticise. It’s also lazy. The smart folks offer advice and suggestions and that is what Long has done.

To quote Gandhi may be a little OTT but for Long’s site I think it fits - “You must be the change you want to see in the world” – his world is Vista :)
