What Cloud Computing Really Means

Groovy, the NY Times sorts it all out for us in What Cloud Computing Really Means. It is indeed the phrase du jour so you should be liberally dropping this in to conversation now in the same way we did last year with Web 2.0 and the year before with blogs and blogosphere. I predict the Cloud Computing Conference – Portable and Open (aka C3PO) will be announced anytime now and will be “the” conference to go to alongside SXSW, Web 2.0 and MIX :) Oh and the conference will have free copies of Nick Carr’s Big Switch for all attendees.

Actually, all jokes aside, the NYT does a pretty nice job for the layman. From a personal point of view, I expect to be explaining this topic to many people this year so they just saved me some time.
