Live from Partner Conference: launch dates announced

I'm sat in the audience for the keynotes at Microsoft WorldWide Partner Conference in Denver so though I'd have a go at Live blogging to let you know what gets announced during the keynotes. Keep coming back here for more info as it unfolds:

  • Allison Watson on stage. Starts out with a Dohatec video that was part of a UK project
  • Kevin Turner gave a very open and honest session about our focus areas. He said we will deliver a product roadmap to partners. Rock on.
  • Brad Wilson did a FANTASTIC demo of CRM Live - way better than last year with a very cool marketplace feature.
  • Kevin announced February 27th as the day for launch of Windows Serve 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio. I have a Vista countdown gadget to share and Mary Jo is obviously watching the feed :)
  • Two CRM Live version coming - pricing looks VERY competitive.

more to come soon - Ballmer is up and I know there is some Live stuff coming

  • Heard the phrase "Windows Live Data Centres" for the first time here today. Expect to hear that a lot more
  • Brian Hall did a great demo yesterday of Live Gallery and probably gave the best Live presentation I have seen to date. It's starting to come together.
  • you can of course follow WPC yourself at Digital WPC
  • Nick Mayhew and I are now Twittering WPC

  • SteveB is talking Software + Services with Brian Golfarb up doing Silverlight demos. Nothing new from Mix07 yet...
  • Steve just put up a pretty useful slide on what Microsoft is going to offer in terms of Live services under themes of Personal Services (ahem), Business Services, Developer Services and Service Enablers. The S+S theme is going to be VERY strong this week.
  • Brian Hall is up - this should be good. Demo of Partner Finder using Virtual Earth, more Silverlight, SeaDragon zooming technology...ooooh!! Nice close from bhall - "what's ours is yours"
