Issues with MSDN sign in - Mitigated

We are in the processes of re-deploying the hotfix to resolve this issue.  Estimated time to completion is 1 hour, will validate once the deployment has completed and post a follow up here.

The hotfix was found to cause unexpected impact to MSDN Subscribers and has been rolled back.  We are treating this issue as high-priority in getting an updated hotfix redeployed tomorrow and will update this thread with new specific ETA as soon as we have rolled back the hotfix from today and identified the issue with the Subscribers portal.

The hotfix has been deployed out, and has been validated. Impact should now be mitigated - please let us know via comment if this isn't the case. Clients may have to do a one-time clear of their browser cache/cookies before they see this take effect.

Initial Notification 2/9/2015:

We are aware of an issue within MSDN that can require a second sign-in under certain scenarios, related to issues caused by forced re-authentication of expired Live ID sessions. The MSDN team is actively working on a fix, ETA mid-week. There is an existing workaround: sign in, then sign out; or, clear cookies.

  2. Sorry for the late notification - we've updated the original post. We're expecting a hotfix to be deployed out today.

  3. I don't know if it is related. I can sign-in but I'm no longer the owner of my blog 🙁
