Congratulations to StorSimple, winner of the 2011 Microsoft BizSpark Partner of the Year Award! StorSimple was recognized for demonstrating leadership in the areas of innovation, market potential, media and analyst attention, investor value creation, and customer adoption.

 

The Microsoft Partner Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year. Awards were presented in multiple categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 3,000 entrants worldwide.

 

StorSimple focuses on solving storage-related issues—such as performance, scalability, manageability, security, and cost—for mission-critical, data-intensive applications. The StorSimple solution integrates on-premises, enterprise applications with cloud storage services, including Windows Azure.

 

The Santa Clara-based company today also announced that they recently raised $10.5 million in Series C funding. The round was led by Ignition Partners and included Index Ventures, Mayfield Fund and Redpoint Ventures.
