Customer Comment on Security: ISA Server 2006

The United States Army has taken part in a pre-Beta 1 release of Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006:

“It goes without saying: Security is of paramount concern to the United States Army. When we look at any piece of technology, our first question is: Does it meet our needs? A very close second question is: Does it satisfy our stringent requirements for security? The Army’s Advanced Technologies directorate takes part in Microsoft’s Technology Adoption Program (TAP) and deploys selected new solutions while they are still in prerelease form. We’re currently working with a private release beta of ISA Server 2006 and studying it for potential recommendation to the Department of the Army. We are very interested in the features built into this new release of ISA Server. My unit works with 7,000 mobile users across multiple geographies, so we’re particularly interested in the innovations in publishing to Exchange and SharePoint and will be looking at them closely as we continue our testing with the Beta 1 release.”
