Public Preview Refresh of SQL Server Connector for Microsoft Azure Key Vault

For those that missed it, the Public Preview refresh download for the SQL Server Connector for Microsoft Azure Key Vault was released on Aug 14, 2015 to the Microsoft Download Center.

The SQL Server Connector enables SQL Server encryption at rest scenarios including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Column Level Encryption (CLE) and Encrypted Backup to leverage the Azure Key Vault service as an Extensible Key Management (EKM) provider to protect its encryption keys.

The Public Preview refresh addresses feedback received for the public preview for the Connector released on Jan 8, 2015. The release also enables SQL Server to use the GA version of the Key Vault service.   The previous Connector used a prior version of the Key Vault service that will be deprecated soon.   Customers already using the Connector today are advised to upgrade to the latest version of the SQL Server Connector as soon as possible to avoid disruption of service.

The SQL Server Connector team thanks you for the feedback so far and invites further engagement and feedback using the Public Preview refresh version.
