Log reader agent may fail to start on SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 Update version 11.0.3460.0

Yesterday we have confirmed a SQL transactional replication problem in SQL Server 2012 version 11.0.3460.0 where running a second instance of the log reader agent for a different publication will fail with error “Another logreader agent for the subscription or subscriptions is running, or the server is working on a previous request by the same agent.”   We are working on releasing a SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 hotfix next week to fix this problem.   For an immediate fix, customers can upgrade the affected SQL Server instance to SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 2 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=43340). This problem will also be fixed in the next Cumulative Update for SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1.
