We have made available updated packages for the Microsoft PHP Drivers 4.3.1 for SQL Server. The updated drivers were built using an updated compiler with flags to incorporate mitigations which help prevent attacks which take advantage of a class of vulnerabilities that are referred to as speculative execution side-channel attacks.
To learn more about the vulnerabilities, go to ADV180002.
If you are using version 4.3.0 of the drivers and need Spectre-type mitigations in your environment, we recommend you download and install version 4.3.1 in place of the original ones.
Direct downloads can be found on the Microsoft Download Center or the Github release tag.
