Welcome Darren Doyle to Software for Students

Meet Darren Doyle

Hey everyone! My name is Darren and I’m currently Microsoft Student Partner here in Ireland. I started my contact with Microsoft in 2008 when I entered the Imagine Cup and I’ve never looked back since.

After this I become a MSP and then luckily, I got an internship in the Developer and Platform Group here in Microsoft Ireland. It really was the most amazing Job I’ve ever had. I got to meet so many different people from different backgrounds and it really helps you see the world in a different light. I got to work on new and exciting projects and got to see all the different areas Microsoft work in.

Microsoft is truly one of the best companies for supporting students and giving opportunities to students that help us truly reach their potential in the academic circle. Some of the opportunities I’ve been given still make me go “Did that really happen?”

Outside of technology, I love rock climbing, adventure sports, martial arts, animals and learning new things everywhere I can. I’ve also been known to be a man who likes to cook given half a chance!
