  16. Shaunton says:

Will the "Windows 8 Hands On Labs" on the 23/05/2012 in Jozi be the same as the "Windows 8 Camp" on the 24/05/2012 in Jozi?

  17. southafrica says:

The Windows 8 Hands On Labs involves sitting in front of a computer and completing assignments with the end goal of creating a Metro based app. The Windows 8 Camp is a daylong presentation (with breaks!) discussing the key new technologies coming in Windows 8 and showing how to use them with code samples.

  18. Shaunton says:

Can someone please give me the exact details, address of where the "Windows 8 Hands On Labs" and "Windows 8 Camp" events will be held?

  19. southafrica says:

Both the Windows 8 Hands On Labs and Windows 8 Camp will be held at Microsoft in Johannesburg. Here is the address:

    Microsoft Bryanston Office

    3012 William Nicol Drive

    2191 Johannesburg

    South Africa

  20. Shaunton says:

What do we have to bring along for these two events "Windows 8 Hands On Labs" and "Windows 8 Camp"?

Do we have to bring our own computers, or will workstations be provided?

  21. Kath says:

We provide computers (all set up) for the Hands-on-Labs. You don't have to bring anything

(except maybe a snack if you're planning on being here for ages?)

Windows 8 Camps: you bring your machine (optional)

Windows 8 Hackathon: you bring your machine (required)

  22. Shaunton says:

Will it be worhwhile to travel from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg for these two events "Windows 8 Hands On Labs" and "Windows 8 Camp"?

I'm still very new to Windows 8 development.
