Beginner’s luck

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to join my colleagues – Ted Kummert, Paul Flessner, Andy Lees, Steven Guggenheimer and Ilya Bukshteyn for a friendly game of Blackjack on ‘Microsoft After Dark: The Launch Show’.  In addition, we also had Kate Gregory (Gregory Consulting Company) join us.

To make it somewhat fun and interesting, Ted, Paul, Andy, Kate and me all played on behalf of one of our customers/partners with the winner being able to send the appropriate customer/partner to the launch event for Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005 and BizTalk Server 2006 in San Francisco on November 7th.

During the game, we talked about how the three products – VS 2005, SQL 2005 and BizTalk 2006 come together and provide the necessary ingredients for the Microsoft Application Platform.   Take a look at the video.  It’s a great way to get some information on SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005 and BizTalk Server 2006 straight from the leaders of the respective product teams.

Namaste!

  1. Wow. Interesting idea for a Tech Video. I actually downloaded it the other day and haven’t got around to using it. Must have a look.

Loved the show, think it is a new relaxing way to get abit of info on Microsofts products and some of the things you discuss internally 🙂

So have you won other blackjack games thereafter? I beat the guys who taught me viet poker after the 5th game, with skill and without luck, in repeatable domination.

Hope to see more "After Dark" shows soon and frequent.

    Hi Loc,

Looks like you are a fast learner. That is great :). No, I haven’t played blackjack since then though it was a lot of fun when I played.
