Happy Anniversary - One year and counting...
It’s been a year since we met. I still remember how I spent literally 3 hours (20 minutes to write and 2 hours 40 minutes reviewing each word 25 times) to write my first blog entry. Since then, I have gotten much more efficient about blogging :).
I was talking to my wife last night about my upcoming 1st blogging anniversary. She jokingly (and maybe rightfully) complained that I had no problem remembering my first blog anniversary but have to be reminded until the day before about our wedding anniversary.
In the last few months I have had the opportunity to interact with many of you. Thanks for your encouragement, comments, feedback and words of wisdom. Your comments have helped me change the way I think about several things. Like I mentioned a year ago, if there is one thing that I have consistently noticed in these interactions, it is the passion that folks have around our products - both in terms of what we are doing well and more importantly what we can do better.
A lot has happened in the world of science and technology in the past 12 months – e.g. the world got to see photos of the rings of Saturn, Dr. Hawking revised his theory of Black Holes, Google’s IPO revived memories of the tech boom, a capsule carrying samples from the Sun crashed, Mt. St. Helens erupted again, a privately funded spacecraft flew above the earth’s atmosphere, IBM sold its PC Business, and Microsoft shipped Beta 2 of Visual Studio 2005.
The next twelve months promise to be equally if not more exciting than the past twelve.
My team and I are in the final stretch for Visual Studio 2005. Customer feedback on Visual Studio 2005 Beta2 has been quite positive thus far. I hope to continue interacting with you not only via this blog but more importantly via your feedback on our products.
