Manufacturing Operations Partner Summit

Today I met a partner who recently implemented commerce server integration with Axapta in one of the high profile retail account in North America. It was immensely educational to listen to the various folks involved in this whole solution. There is a big potential for ERP systems to have real time or near real time integration with commerce front ends and Axapta should and would leverage the integrated MS stacks to the full potential.

I also listened to this partner making a presentation in the manufacturing operations partner summit in Redmond today. After a long time, I come across OPC/SCADA etc and it brought back good old memories of implementing plant automation systems and integrating them to front office/outlook with some real cool UIs and work flows while I was working in Singapore.
