Some real headline news

Occasionally, it’s refreshing to see news headlines that concentrate on the real issues that we face, frightening as they may be.

    Hmm…so what what we’re talking about here is a study based on computer models that are themselves based on OTHER computer models, some of whose inputs (for example, that we’ll still be using the same energy sources in the same proportions 100 years from now as we are today) are extremely suspect (look back 100 years at the transportation and energy industries and ask yourself how likely it is that their assumptions are correct).

    I’d say that it would be reasonable to take their predictions with a large grain of salt.
