I'm melting! What a world...

Ok, weather in Seattle/Redmond is infamous for gray, rainy and not exactly warm. While that's not entirely inaccurate for winter it's definitely not true this weekend! It is bright sunny, 180 degrees of blue skies and 90degrees F outside! (32 degrees C for anyone reading this in the rest of the world, not that anyone is actually reading this blog ;-) ) That's just too darn hot for a place where most folks don't have air conditioning (like me). Off to the pool I go!

An interesting item I noticed at the pool is a robot pool cleaner. It suctions itself to the side of the pool and can control it's own buoyancy to maneuver underwater. That's pretty cool stuff and would be a great application of the .NET Micro Framework. That got me thinking about an even smaller version that would work inside an aquarium. Perhaps it would not have the controller in the tank but if we can fit the .NET MF into a wrist watch - why not a small robot aquarium cleaner? (and you were wondering how I was going to bring the weather around to something to do with Embedded Systems!)
