Updated Information regarding HIS 2006 SP1 support for Windows Server 2008 and Vista (posted on 4/17/2009):

The HIS product team made substantial changes to the product in order to securely support Vista and Windows Server 2008, based on Common Engineering Criteria (including logo certification) and Secure Windows Initiative release requirements. Given the upcoming availability of HIS 2009 and BAHS 2.0, the HIS product team does not plan to offer support for the new operating systems in SP1 for HIS 2006. At this time, we are evaluating when to release an SP1 for HIS 2006, which will be a roll-up of customer-provided hot fixes only.

The following information was included when this entry was first posted in October 2008:

HIS 2006 and Biztalk Adapters for Host Systems (BAHS) systems updated with SP1 will be supported on Windows Server 2008 (including Hyper-V) and Windows Vista.

Per the updated information above, this is no longer the case.
