Share, Inspire, Admire: Expression Community Gallery for Designers & Developers

Where can you share--and find--design-related assets at Microsoft? Just a few weeks ago, we launched an easy answer to this dilemma. The Expression Gallery on the Expression Community site gives you a place to show off the projects you've been working on and get inspiration (and sometimes a helping hand) from other peoples projects.

Whether you're looking for a great XHTML 1.0 Strict-compliant template to use with Expression Web or some interactive physics Behaviors like collide and magnet to use with Expression Blend, or colorful WPF themes, the Gallery is the place to start.

You can share and browse a variety of your contributions related to design and development, including:

· Art, Design, Images

· Web Templates

· Silverlight and WPF Samples

· WPF and Silverlight Themes

· Behaviors for Blend

· Code Snippets

· Tools and Add-Ins (including trial versions of commercial apps)

We designed the Gallery to provide opportunities for people in the design community to share and discuss ideas, techniques, and solutions.

Easy Sharing

Adding your work to the Expression Gallery couldn't be simpler. Just choose the Upload button in the Gallery, give us the info and file (zip up multiple files into a compressed folder), and click to upload.

There's space to add a detailed description, and you can link to your personal site or a blog post. Give your entry a good friendly URL, like the Expression Dark WFP Theme: https://gallery.expression.microsoft.com/ExpressionDark.

Preview your contribution, and when the page looks perfect, go ahead and publish it.

Want to make a change? Edit your page whenever you like.

Interaction and Feedback

Love and item (or hate it)? You can let the author know by giving it a rating of one to five stars.

Have a burning question, or just want to thank someone for their contribution? Every gallery item has an associated discussion. There's a particularly lively discussion associated with Peter Blois' MIX09 Behavior Pack, just scroll to the bottom of the page to add your two cents.

If you're the author, you can track page visits, ratings, and downloads.

Easy to Browse

If you're looking for something special, you'll find lots of ways to find it. You can browse the categories, narrow your selections by tags, and search all text. Even better, you can configure RSS feeds to alert you when there's a new item that meets your criteria.

How Do You Express Yourself?

Head over to the Expression Gallery and show us how you express yourself. And, please take a few minutes to send us feedback about the user experience and any new features you'd like to see.
