You need the at least Professional version of Visual Studio 2008 to get the mobile development features. The Visual Studio 2008 SKU structure is based on how our customers were using Visual Studio 2005. Very few customers use Visual Studio 2005 Standard to build applications for Windows Mobile devices so in order to deliver a Standard SKU that is simplified and tuned to the customers that use it, Visual Studio 2008 Standard no longer includes support for mobile development.

モバイル開発のためには今後VS2008のProfessional 以上が必要になります。VS2008のエディション構成については、VS2005のユーザーの利用方法を調査して構成しています。その結果、VS2005のStandardでWindows Mobile 開発をしている人は非常に少ないため、VS2008のStandardエディションはユーザーの使い方に合わせてシンプルな構成に最適化し、Windows Mobile開発についてはサポートしないこととなっています。
