Experiencing Alerting failure issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 07/18 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact in the West US region as of 07/18, 19:28 UTC. 
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to scaling issues on our server side.
  • Lessons Learned: We are adding more monitoring to the detect scaling issues.

    Customers who have configured availability tests in West US could be experiencing false failures in their availability tests. The issue has been appearing intermittently from July 16th 00:00 UTC.
