Work, GDC, Publishing, ... (Update for 03/07/05)

It's been a while since i had much of interest to discuss. Thought I'd do a roundup of what has been going on lately.

Work...

Work is progressing well. Of course i can't discuss any specifics of what I am working on yet as it has not been publicly announced. I have to admit that since i have returned from my family emergency last week things have been a little more hectic than usual but not as bad as i expected. I am heading off to GDC tomorrow and plan to post a summary of my findings when I return.

Publishing...

Been working on several projects. My main work has been on two related projects (one book and a related side-project). I have not announced the topic yet but expect more information in the upcoming few weeks. Both projects are now in the editing stages and I hope to have them released within the next few months.

Also, as you may know, I've been chosen as a section editor in the upcoming ShaderX4 title. At this point, we have started to look at the LOADS of submissions. It's not an easy process but it's fun to read through all this interesting content. I definitely want to thank everybody who has submitted proposals so far!

Life...

It has been a rough couple of months considering the death of my mother from cancer a few weeks ago and my wife being also ill for the past few months. They finally narrowed down the problem to some esophageal spasm issue and she will undergo a endoscopy procedure tomorrow to try and determine (and hopefully fix) the cause.

Also, to conclude, a cool announcement for game developers...
