BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1 and Adapter Migration Toolkit Released!

Get it here.  I strongly recommend that everybody trys this in your test environments and then puts it into production.  Along with the usual bug fixes provided in service packs you can expect up to a 10% performance increase in some scenarios.  This is thoroughly recommended and has been well tested by our EAP customer (thanks).

Along with Service Pack 1 we are also releasing the BizTalk Server 2004 Adapter Migration Toolkit. The adapter migration provides interfaces for BizTalk Server 2002 components and adapters such as AICs and Pre-processors. If you are migrating you will find this helpful.

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet on my blog recently. We are planning away for TechEd and future product.  I spent much of the day in consulting sessions with the excellent Gartner analysts (Jim, Jess and Bill).

    Hey Scott the readme for SP1 says you need the XM GDR update installed.

    <br>&quot;XM GDR update. For more information, see Knowledge Base article 890673 at <a target="_new" href="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=39454">http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=39454</a&gt;. &quot;

    <br>I’ve requested the hotfix from Microsoft Support, but are you able to explain why we need to apply the hot fix prior to installing BizTalk 2004 SP1?
    <br>
    <br>The KB site suggests that &quot;if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next .NET Framework 1.1 service pack that contains this hotfix&quot;

    Hi Scott,

    is there any tool that would pick a bts2002 schedule (.skv or .skx) and produce a .odx ?

    bts2004 migration project doesn’t migrate schedules.

    Thanks

    Hi Scott,
    <br>
    <br>there’s a bug in the SQL Adapter Schema Generation Wizard. it doesn’t accept table owners diferent from &quot;dbo&quot;.
    <br>steps to reproduce the problem.
    <br>create two database users ( XXX and ZZZ )and give them dbo_owner permission
    <br>
    <br>create two tables called XXX.MyTable1 and ZZZ.MyTable2
    <br>
    <br>try to use these tables in the sql transport schema generation with updategram option.
    <br>
    <br>
