Upgrading From SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint 2007 (Level 200 - Intermediate)

This three-day (soon to be four-day), instructor-led course is intended for IT Pros who are responsible for upgrading their SharePoint 2003 deployments to SharePoint 2007.  The course emphasizes hands-on experience through performing an upgrade via extensive hands-on labs.  The primary goal of the upgrade modules and labs is to simulate the challenges that a real-world SharePoint administrator will face, and provide best practices for upgrading their production SharePoint deployments.

SharePoint Solutions also provides an excellent resource portal based on SharePoint 2003, you should check it out.

SPT401: Inside SharePoint Products and Technologies

This intensive 4-day course explores the development opportunities with Microsoft Office 2007 with a focus on SharePoint Products and Technologies. You will learn how Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS) plays a central role as an extensible platform for building sites-based business solutions. This course will teach you how to customize and brand WSS sites as well as how to extend them with collaboration services, Web Parts, Content Types, event handlers and custom workflows. The course will also show you how use and extend the portal and web content management features of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) as well as other server-side components such as the Business Data Catalog, Forms Services, Excel Server and Report Center. Along the way, you will also learn how to extend Office 2007 client applications with Visual Studio Tools for Office V3 and how to leverage the new Office Open XML File Formats by writing WSS event handlers that read, modify and generate Office documents.
