Over the past few years, we’ve received a lot of customer feedback about the availability, applicability, and discoverability of SBS Migration information. In the past, this kind of information has been published in various forms and made available in a variety of ways. Sometimes on the release media in the form of a CHM file, sometimes on the Microsoft Download Center in the form of a white paper, and always in the TechNet Technical Library for the product – where the most current version of a document is maintained. Unfortunately, while a variety of content delivery vehicles can serve the needs of many (instant context, printable docs, etc.); there is a big downside in that the amount of overhead that is necessary to maintain these formats can quickly result in inconsistencies in content freshness, and versioning.

This latest enhancement to the Windows SBS migration information experience is designed to provide quick access to a broad spectrum of migration guides, tools, and community knowledge that can help guide you through the process of migrating from your current version of Windows SBS to a more recent version of the product, or to a new or significantly modified computer.
This portal does not mark the end of the work to be done in this area. Oh no. We are always learning, always evolving, always improving.
