Version Control Rock: TFS, Powershell, Gource, FFMPEG, and CCMixter

I switched one of my open source projects on CodePlex from TFS for Version Control to my new darling: Mercurial. (DVCS is going mainstream folks.) and decided it would be a good time to try to visualize the journey. Previously I had used Wordle, but Wofle produces a static image, I needed something to rock with.

So combining TFS, Powershell, Gource, FFMPEG, some audio for CCMixter I managed to produce a cool little video of about 2+ years of check-in history.

Go to the post my other blog below to see the video and to get the powershell script and all the binaries you need.

All version control systems need a built-in feature that produces such cool videos!
