I get a lot of email regarding Waveland, mostly from people who want to help donate or do something, although ever now and then i get assistance requests from residents.  So, what i’ve started doing is asking the organizations that contact me to include a post write-up, including 1. Information for Waveland Residents and 2. How people can donate.  let’s see how this works.

The Giving Circle, Inc. began as a grass-roots effort to help children and families affected by the hurricanes of 2005. Waveland, Mississippi is our current focus. Donations are used to directly help the residents of Waveland rebuild their lives.

Home Rebuliding Effort:
A big goal of The Giving Circle, Inc. is to help as many citizens of Waveland rebuild their homes. We are coordinating with Waveland Building Inspector, Jesse Loya, along with modular home manufacturers. With over 100 applications from families in need of assistance, we are in process of seeking individuals or teams of skilled construction tradesmen or laborers to help with building; and businesses or individuals who are interested in making a financial contribution.  Anyone with such resources is urged to pass the information on to mark@thegivingcircle.org. SPORTS TEAM SPONSORSHIPS:
We are seeking sponsorships (@ $350) from individuals and companies to support the Hancock County Girls Softball League. Checks made out to Hancock County Girls Softball League should be sent to THE GIVING CIRCLE, INC. P.O.
Box 3162 Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

WRITE-A-THON  to raise money for Waveland schools.  Children write a letter to students at Waveland Elementary School and collect sponsors at a nickel-a-word. All letters are delivered to Waveland Students. The project is easily adopted by schools, 4H-Clubs, scout troops, church groups, as well as by individuals.  For information & pledge forms visit:
