Composing the UI with Microsoft Office and SAP services - Office Business Applications (OBA)

Not to question our joint efforts in Duet™ but the story to use Microsoft Office Client and Server (components - not the C/S architecture :-)) technology around SAP's services grows fast and includes all industries today.
I have recently seen a list of over 200 custom build Office applications including those with SAP interaction.

Office Business Applications (OBA) is a new Industry phenomenon describing the composition of applications using Office System in a custom way. This includes the whole range of Office products like Word, Excel, Outlook, InfoPath, Visio, Project. This also means we will use Office server products to compose our applications including SharePoint, Performance Point Server, Forms Server, Excel Server, Project Server and the equivalent services running on top of Windows Sharepoint Services. We have published a couple of whitepapers describing the use of Office components in conjunction with SAP services and Microsoft .NET framework components (like WCF, WF). Now there are more information available on the Office OBA web site. The last example for an OBA RAP (Reference Applicatioin Pack) describe price management. Other great examples are published for a while now on our central OBA developers site.
I will spend some time in the future to explore Office capabilities around SAP more in detail (that will include Forms).
Stay tuned
