Article: Enterprise Integration and Distributed Computing: A Ubiquitous Phenomenon

Abstract 

In this era of cloud computing, an Enterprise is put through a series of iterative renovations to its IT assets. The innovations from technology vendors like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon have a major impact and influence on the Enterprises that strive to compete. Between all this, the ‘Hype Cycle’ is something we cannot ignore. Enterprises are left with no choice but to compete. This phenomenon remains central to an enterprise, and definitely has an impact on the way they position their IT. This is one of the external factors influencing IT. Between all these, ‘Enterprise Integration’ still remains as the ubiquitous core challenge. This paper addresses some of the challenges faced by an Enterprise in the area of ‘Distributed Computing’ and suggests certain recommendations and good practices to overcome the challenges.
