Off to Microsoft later today…

Here comes the news that I’ve been holding out on for about a week and half now… Microsoft is having this Imagine Cup 2003 competition on XML Web Services for college undergraduates and graduates. I entered my Photo Album WS in the regional competition back in March and currently it has moved onto the US Finals. This is one of only 7 other projects from the entire US. So, now I’m heading to Microsoft later today for giving a demo and talk to the judges on Saturday. The 8 projects are now competing for the top 2 spots to move onto the International Imagine Cup Competition and a trip to TechEd Europe (in Barcelona, Spain!) to demo the project there since the International winners will be announced there. I’ll be posting updates here periodically over the weekend…

  1. Awesome. I will also be at the Imagine Cup. I posted about it on my blog last night (aka 4am). It’s pretty cool that two of the 8 teams are dotnetwebloggers.

Are you planning to release your WS Photo Album (either binaries/source) ? I’ve just finished my own (non-WS) ASP.NET photo gallery s/w but it sure doesn’t sound as cool as yours 🙂

Rob, when you win.. I’d like to run your photo album on my website. Congratulations! 😀
