Microsoft joins the Open Compute Project Foundation

Today we announced that Microsoft is joining the OCPF. Not only are we joining the project but we are be contributing hardware specifications, design collateral (CAD and Gerber files), and system management source code for Microsoft's cloud server designs. We are bring our best in class design, deployment and management practices that we have refined running a global portfolio of datacentres across all continents, with an installed base of over one million servers, and delivering more than 200 services for 1+ billion customers and 20+ million businesses in 90+ markets.
