The Crystal Method @ The Tremont

A couple of us hit the Tremont Music Hall last night to see The Crystal Method.  All I can say is Thumpin'!  Kudos to the Queen City (Charlotte, NC) for having such a great turnout; TCM was impressed with the huge Tuesday night crowd!

MichaelP also has a blog entry related to the show.

I took my wife down to see TCM at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR.

I agree – it was thumpin! Opening DJ was ok, but uninspiring. However, the actual TCM set was amazing – especially Trip Like I Do, Wild Sweet Cool, Busy Child, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Cherry Twist.

One of the guys (forgot his name, but seemed more sociable) was playing the synth over his head and behind his back, taking pictures of the crowd (during the opening DJ set even), and being generally sociable 🙂

The opening DJ for TCM last night was DJ Hyper, check michaelp’s blog for the link…I was lated and missed him but thanks to Adam I’m currently listening to his stuff, so far so good!

TCM was again taking pictures of the crowd and was playing the sythesizer over their heads, etc. One thing I thought was really cool was that they (TCM) handed their bottled water out to the folks in the front row who’d been dancing the whole time. I thought it was a great gesture to the fans.

Let me just say though, Get Busy Child….WOW! The version TCM played last night was unbelieveable, if I could only get my hands on a copy of it! Amazing barely begins to describe how awesome it was!

MichaelP and I had a blast along with Adam, Arika, and Scott. We’ll be sure to go next time TCM is in town.
