The Microsoft SharePoint 2003 Sizing and Configuration tool has been developed based on knowledge gained during the extensive characterization of the latest version of Microsoft SharePoint 2003 in the HP Solutions Engineering performance lab in Nashua, N.H. and also capitalizes on HP collaboration with Microsoft on the development of the SPS2003 Intranet Accelerator Prescriptive Architecture Guides and the HP SharePoint Performance Whitepaper. The tool follows the sizing and "thought" process that HP support teams use when working with partners, customers and HP account teams to determine appropriate SharePoint configurations.
