Carpet Cleaning and Web Site Design

I recently helped a friend publish a business Web site that is a Christmas present for her husband, who owns the business. Originally, I was going to use Visual Web Developer, but I found a basic, inexpensive FrontPage Web site template that did everything we needed at AllWebCo Design. Also, it's been a long time since I've built a commercial site from scratch. Next, I needed some stock photography since the images in the template weren't appropriate for the business, but I found the selections in the Corbis Image Pack were not what I needed. However, I found a site that has an extensive collection of free stock photography: Stock.XCHNG. I then used Paint.NET to edit the photos to fit the template. With a framework in place, I worked with my friend on the actual site content to replace the Lorem Ipsum I was using as placeholder. Now I'm looking at using Windows Live Custom Domains to host the domain e-mail in Hotmail. I probably spent the bulk of the time searching for a template and the stock photos. Building, or I should say, assembling the site was simple enough.

    1. Thanks for the link to Stock.Xchng — and while I do use FrontPage for website development, another site I use to "borrow" website templates for my clients is

Even if you don’t purchase one of their inexpensive templates, it’s great for fresh ideas.
