New AD RMS Content: AD RMS and Windows Mobile

AD RMS integrates with Microsoft Windows Mobile beginning with Windows Mobile 6.  End users can create and consume protected e-mail messages and can read protected Microsoft Office documents on their Windows Mobile device.  The AD RMS team has recently released the following new content about AD RMS and Windows Mobile integration:

  • The AD RMS and Windows Mobile Step-by-Step Guide walks through the steps to configure your AD RMS cluster for Windows Mobile integration, activate Information Rights Management on a Windows Mobile device, and consume a protected e-mail message on the Windows Mobile device.
  • The article Windows Mobile Considerations for AD RMS provides important information about using AD RMS on Windows Mobile devices, including pre-requisites to integration, and using the AD RMS Pre-licensing Agent in Windows Mobile.
  • The video How Do I Use AD RMS in Windows Mobile demonstrates how you can open protected e-mail messages and Microsoft Office attachments on a Windows Mobile device and how to protect an e-mail message.
