Showing the Search Scope Drop Down on the Enterprise Search Center site

By default the Enterprise Search Center site does not display any of your additional search scopes, even when they are shared, populated and ready for people to use. This is a common challenge for people so I thought I would add it here to save someone some time.

Anyhow, the solution is to modify the Search Web Part and modify the properties to Show the Scope Dropdown. That’s it!

You case also add some of these search sources as horizontal search scopes on the Search Web Part as well by using the following options:
