BizTalk Server 2006 FAQ Posted

Make sure you check out the
BPID Customer Response Team's
recent post that contains a cornucopia of great questions and answers with regards to
BizTalk Server 2006. Some of the questions include:

  • Is an Indigo adapter planned?
  • Can .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 be installed side by side on the same box?
  • Does our SQL adapter support Yukon?

Good stuff.

  1. (Via Richard Seroter) The BPID Customer Response Team’s Blog has a new FAQ for BizTalk Server 2006 that they have collected as part of the Technology Adoption Program (TAP) for early adopters of that product.

Can the BizTalk 2006 release include a sample that uses SOAP adapter to communicate with .NET 1.1 web service.  All the samples availalbe in BizTalk 2006 beta are for .NET 2.0 web service. I tried to use the SOAP adapter of BizTalk 2006 Beta2 to communicate with .NET 1.1 web service and it didn’t work.  I found that SOAPAction was mssing from the HTTP call of BizTalk 2006 SOAP adapter.

    Thanks,

  3. Interesting, Steven.  Did you post that to the beta discussion list?

  4. Steven Tian says:

No, I didn’t.  Can you provide the link?  I will also try the SOAP adapter from the BizTalk 2oo6 full release.  Hope it is different.  But I am still not sure on how BizTalk can handle two different SOAP protocols with only a single soap adapter.
