App Folders and the new JavaScript picker

We’ve had a busy month of March working on improving the OneDrive API. Today we launched two new platform features to make using OneDrive in your apps easier:

  • App Folders – Request access only to a special folder for your application in OneDrive. Store files in OneDrive without requesting permission to access an entire drive.
  • JavaScript picker & saver SDK – Easily open and save files to OneDrive from your web app without asking for ongoing permissions to OneDrive.

We also refreshed our dev center website with a new table of contents for the API documentation to make it easier to navigate and find what you’re looking for. For the super nerds, you can even check out the latest documentation continuous integration status that ensures our documentation is always accurate!

Don't miss us at the //Build and Ignite conferences coming up at the end of April. I’ll be there speaking about how to quickly integrate OneDrive into your apps and have some exciting news to share! Hope to see you there.
