Whoops. Got to uninstall all the .NET 4.x bits or Server Manager breaks…

Fiddling around with TFS 2010 (x64) got me into a little trouble:

"MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly. CLSID: FX:{18ea3f92-d6aa-41d9-a205-2023400c8fbb}"

Fortunately, there were just two more .NET 4.x Beta 1 items in PAF (on 2008, formerly known as ARP on 2003) that I overlooked for a total of 4 items to uninstall to put the system back in order.

Hey, it’s obvious this was posted as part of something bigger, but I got here by way of Bing, which means I can’t make heads or tails of it…  Anyway, I’ve gotten the exact error as above on a completely out of the box 2008 x64 Server install, obviously with nothing ‘beta’ about it, but couldn’t follow what you ‘uninstalled’ to get around it.  I’d figured out it was .NET related, but still don’t know how to fix.

My request, here, of course is just for those poor souls whom come after me, as I found no help here, but doubt I would stick around anyway…

If your problem is with SQL Server 2005 (SQL version was missing from your comment) on Windows Server 2008, this might help:
