Hey, I resemble that remark. (I have a new theme song!)

I am proud to announce that I have a new theme song! If you don't have one, I strongly recommend that you get one. It's almost like that goofy AIG commercial. Weird Al brings us my new theme song. Somebody has been kind enough to violate Weird Al's copyright and post the entire music video to YouTube for "White & Nerdy" which is much better than the song that he's ripping off ("Ridin' Dirty"). I'd like to publicly thank W. Al for my new personal theme song. Heh. I think Weird Al may have uploaded it himself in the spirit of another song on the album "Don't Download This Song" but ya' never know.

I've been listening to "Straight Out of Lynwood" for couple months now, and just been too busy (read: lazy) to post about it. The title is a nice play on the NWA title we confused Hoosier teens listened to in the '80s because it seemed to upset the adults more than Megadeath, Slayer and Agnostic Front (good weight lifting music!). I can only speculate that the overdose of corn pollen in Indiana caused us to do seek out that which upset the adults the most. <sarcasm> There couldn't possibly be another explanation.</sarcasm>

We knew that we'd hit a nerve when our parents begged us to stop listening to "Straight Out of Compton" and go back to listening to "that wholesome Guns 'n Roses trash." I guess we were ahead our time being wannabe gangstas before it was cool to be a wannabe gansta (which seems to have happened some time while I was in graduate school and not paying attention). Seems typically Teenage Stupid® in retrospect.

Anyway, I digress (as usual). I've been a big fan of Weird Al for decades. I take it as a personal insult that he didn't invite me to cameo in his music video. <pout/> I fulfill nearly every single criteria listed in his tune! (Except for that Trekkie thing that I still don't get. And I haven't played D&D since college. Who has time?) Weird Al doesn't love me anymore! <big_sigh/> Of course, he never knew who I was to start with. ROTFLOL [OK, maybe I should stop that now. The other people in the airport are starting to look scared enough to call security.]

Share the video with a geek you love before somebody sues somebody else and it disappears inside MTV's Urge forever. But that's another post for another day... Anyway, see if you can find a picture that looks suspiciously like BillG in the music video of Weird Al's "White & Nerdy". At least BillG got a cameo!
