Check Out Episode 2 of DataBound

One of my favorite new features of SQL Server Code Name “Denali” is known as Semantic Search which makes it possible to automatically build tag clouds over a set of content then do powerful searches, such as “find documents that are similar to this one” or “compare these two documents and tell me which tags are most similar”.

When combined with improved support for database blob storage (FILESTREAM) and easy SMB access to your content in SQL Server (FileTable), this turns into a killer feature for content management systems.

In Episode 2 of DataBound I’ll walk through these improvements with RUDS ninja Michael Rys (Rich Unstructured Data), and we’ll show a sample content management app that uses Semantic Search to visualize the tags in a body of documents and do powerful searches.
