When the shakin' never stops

My Cingular 3125 Smartphone had a seizure this morning! I had 3 concurrent appointments (mostly Live Meeting training events) and when they came due, the phone gave me the reminder like it's supposed to, but then just kept on vibrating and everything locked up. I was still able to receive calls, but I couldn't unlock the phone and the all buttons were totally unresponsive. If I was real quick when it started back up, I could unlock the phone but very little actually worked.

Finally had to do a hard reset and reconfigure everything. Not all bad, took a grand total of 20 minutes to get back to a fully functional state, including synching with Exchange...although I'm sure I've forgotten a couple of speed dial customizations.

Is there anything like Windows Easy Transfer for phones that will copy the config to a new phone? Never needed anything like that before, but now I might be interested for future excorisms that might need to be performed. I've had a SmartPhone with Windows Mobile for like 2 years, and this is the first time I've ever had to do a hard reset, or for that matter had any problems that weren't related to pilot error.

Once again the Cingular support forums and help (or lack thereof) were totally useless...
