bit old news, better late than never

This one is a bit overdue post, if you have been following me on twitter https://twitter.com/rprakashg you probably already know this, I left Microsoft, my last day was Sept 30th and took a Sr. Architect role with Deloitte & Touche in downtown Chicago, doesn’t require aggressive travel like Microsoft Consulting Services.

I’m super excited for this new beginning as SharePoint 2010 is becoming a core technology platform for Deloitte both internal and external facing portal solutions and its really cool to be part of some really large global initiatives and being able to see it through to the end, something I didn’t always get to do when I was at Microsoft Consulting. You also might have noticed me pretty active in MSDN forums, something I always wanted to do (help others with issues) but my hours at MCS did not always let me do it.

I really miss my friends at Microsoft, interactions via email, communicator, also miss opportunity to get a Windows Phone 7 Smile. I’m excited about all the new products (Windows Phone 7, XBox Kinect) and the direction of the company with Cloud based offerings. Its really good to be working with the Microsoft Platform, we continue to have the strong products, community, and developer base, which in my mind has been the coolest part of working with Microsoft technologies, pretty much any Microsoft technology you pick you will find strong community and people that are willing to help you succeed.

I will continue my posts to MSDN blogs but hope to host my own blog soon

Cheers
