2014 MDC Mobile Appathon

Attention all students!  Ever wanted to develop a mobile application and have no idea where to start?  Well, Miami Dade College and Microsoft are here to help!  I have been working with Miami Dade College over the past month or so on scheduling a student hackathon, and it is now official!!  The 24 hour hackathon will take place from Saturday April 5th at 1:00pm to Sunday April 6th at 4:00pm. 

As a student, we don’t want you to feel like you have to have experience with computer science or mobile applications to be able to create an app and have fun.    I will be covering a couple of different tools that can be used by BEIGNNERS!  We want everyone to be able to get involved, and I will be on hand to help make this come true!

Lastly, I will be giving away a Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone as well as a Dell Venue 8.1 Pro Tablet for students that are focusing on the Microsoft platform!  Again, I will be on hand to help through this process.  Additionally, as a student if you publish a game or app to Windows 8 store before April 14th, you can earn $50 for each app you submit!  Just another incentive to keep in mind.
