APIMASH and Game Dev Workshops

Announcing hands on workshop segments for South Florida in Fall 2013, located at the Microsoft Fort Lauderdale Office. Each workshop is a one to two hour lecture, followed by an opportunity to do "hands on" work. Co-work during the session on YOUR app using YOUR machine.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

There are two available workshop types.

WINDOWS APP DEVELOPER - In this workshop we will explore using open APIs for designing, coding, publishing and marketing apps for Windows and Windows Phone. We will explore a variety of APIs such as available for your use. Special attention will be paid on how to invoke asynchronous APIs, bind data to visual controls and leverage the cloud by taking advantage of live tiles and push notifications. Each Windoows App Develop workshop is a repeat of the previous session. Use it as an opportunity to 'come back' and continue working on your applications.

WINDOWS GAME DEV - In this workshop we will work on designing, coding, publishing and marketing games for Windows and Windows Phone. Rapid Game Development engines allow you to leave Game Mechanics behind and focus on 'playability' aspects. During these sessions we will explore casual mobile game development using GameMaker.
