Why is World of Warcraft mentioned in the same sentence as Visual Studio?

It's not like this needs any more press but a World of Warcraft Visual Studio package was released the other day on codeplex.  You can download it from here.

You can create your own WoW add ons using the Visual Studio IDE.  The integration with Visual Studio is just amazing and includes things like toolbox controls, a code editor, and automatic deployment.  It's a great plug in and an even better example of the power and what you can do with the Visual Studio shell.

I was lucky enough to get a preview of this when I was interviewing for the team and it was one of the "cool factors" that made me decide to join the Visual Studio Extensibility team.

Go ahead and download the plug in, try it out and start building your own WoW add ons!

Also, since I have your attention, the Visual Studio Extensibility team is hiring!  We have positions in Cambridge, England and Redmond, Washington.  Our lead developer blogged about the positions at https://blogs.msdn.com/garethj/archive/2007/12/07/hiring-for-dsl-tools-and-visual-studio-extensibility-in-both-cambridge-and-redmond.aspx.  If you're interested, go ahead and send me a note and I can respond with an email on where you can send your resume to.
