At this free developer event, you will learn how to build Windows Store applications with Dr. Z, Microsoft technical evangelist. While in the store, you will get a chance to explore the latest cool devices and applications from Microsoft and partners. Bring your computer and come on to join us to share the learning experience!

Dr. Zhiming Xue is a Microsoft technology evangelist with the DPE Public Sector team, focusing on Windows Azure cloud computing. During his tenure with Microsoft he has delivered presentations and keynotes including Windows 8, Windows Phone, SharePoint and ASP.NET. His blog is blogs.msdn.com/zxue.

We will review the new Windows application platform on Windows 8 and discuss how to get started with building Windows Store applications from getting developer tools to setting up development environment to getting your first Windows 8 application running.
